May Meeting and Cookies!

Sorry for the late updates, but our may meeting will be held Tuesday, May 4th at 7:00 and will be hosted by Hunter Dalhberg. Heres the announcement from our prez:

Our next meeting is at Hunter Dahlberg’s house, I mean blacksmith’s shop. It
is located at 44 SE Bridgeford. Get on 9th street and turn East on Textron,
(Gardners Auto) it is between Bend High and Pakit Liquidators. Hunter has an
extra special blacksmithing demo for us that is so top secret, he wouldn’t
even tell me what it is. (He’s probably still figuring out how to do it)
Seriously though, it should be a good meeting.
Bring your usual homemade cookies and famous avocado dip and don’t forget
your libations. And the following people, Rochelle Davenport, Steve Douglas,
Joe Elliott and Missy Powell, you lucky winners need to bring raffle gifts
this month. I think we are even making Steve bring two as he forgot last
month. See you Tuesday at 7PM.

Also as a special treat Rochelle Davenport emailed me with the recipe for Choco Chip Oatmeal Cookies!

COMAG Oatmeal Chocolate Chip Cookies
(recipe may be halved or freeze rolls for baking later)

4 cups flour
2 tsp. baking soda
2 tsp. baking powder
1 tsp. salt
2 cups granulated sugar
2 cups brown sugar
5 cups blended oatmeal (blend to a fine powder in processor)
1 bag chocolate chips (11 oz.)
4 eggs
3 cups chopped walnuts
2 tsp. vanilla

Cream butter and sugars. Add eggs and vanilla; mix flour, blended oatmeal, baking soda, baking powder and salt, add flour to creamed mixture, then chocolate, then nuts. Roll into balls, place 2” apart on ungreased cookie sheet. Bake 375 degrees for 10 minutes.
